Anyone can file a VORSY report. The data supplied is secure and confidential
The key objective of VORSY is to enhance aviation safety through the collection of reports on actual or potential safety deficiencies that would otherwise not be captured by mandatory reporting systems.
VORSY is a voluntary, non-punitive and confidential reporting system established by the GCAA in line with ICAO ANNEX 19 & ICAO SMM Document 9859. Further information about VORSY is available in CAAP – 57 on the GCAA website (E-Publications).
You should make a VORSY report when you have any information that could help in improving aviation safety OR you wish for others to learn and benefit from any occurrence or hazard, but are concerned about protecting your identity.
VORSY pays particular attention to the need to protect the reporter’s identity when processing all reports. VORSY administrator will de-identify the information and enter data into the VORSY database. Should there be need to seek inputs from any third party, only the de-identified data will be used.
In case you want to learn more about VORSY, please communicate with VORSY Administrator on vorsy@gcaa.gov.ae
